First of all, that is the most ridiculous and factually incorrect statement I’ve read in a long time.

Second, I infer from his comment that he accepts the list is accurately naming real criminals, but that in order for it to be true, they must also be Israeli, which “b’ryan” thinks automatically makes them Jewish, I think. Because, as we all know, it is the Jews that are ruining this country and at the same time running it. (Snark.)

Third, how has “b’ryan” come to this assumption? By reading their names? By actually reading biographies on each individual? By contacting the US or Israeli embassy to ask what the citizenship status of each person is? I think not. By thoughtlessly listening to other racists tell him they are Israeli? Probably.

Because even I, as a Jew, cannot see more than 3-4 names on the list that I could “speculate” belonged to people of Jewish descent. And “b’ryan,” haters such as you must make a decision; either those you despise are Israelis (Jewish) or they are Hitlers, the latest offensive right-wing idealogue’s labeling of those they disagree with. It can’t be both ways.

Lastly, as a Jewish American, with solely an American citizenship, this type of ignorant generalization just pisses me off.

Demonizing the other has long been a central facet of the “American” identity. Obviously, for “b’ryan” to separate himself–and his own hate–from those who used their hate to ruin this country, he must characterize these criminals as holding dual citizenship with an “other” he finds detestable.

In fact, it is those who hate–everyone of those who hate–who should be detested. For they are causing an irrepairable rift in America that may quite possibly have horrible, horrible consequences.

I hope “b’ryan” can open his heart and mind to a more important ideology: one that accepts every “American” as just that, regardless of their race, religion, origin, or political belief. Further, that he can recognize that any American who acts in opposition to our nation’s best interests, or in support of reducing others rights or freedoms such as our unnecessary invasion and occupation of Iraq, is truly a criminal of the worst order.
