This scenario clearly has a main offender, The U. S. President, and a lesser player whose support was vital to the coalition, but who anyone can see was subject to the provocations and suasions thrust in his direction and onto the shoulders of the British people by an aching, bellicose superpower looking for a way to go on the attack . Blair really should have known better, but got dragged into supporting Iraq invasion by the very deliberate, ruthless manipulations Bush fronted for in the persons of Cheney, the Carlisle group and Rummsfeld. I personally believe Blair might acquit himself of some responsibility on these grounds, but he will have to cooperate and spill the beans on a former president. Old ties aside, the greater good of prosecuting, and possibly convicting Bush, et al, is more than worth an old school handshake in the eyes of the world. As coalition states, we must confront our own hypocricies that give terrorists rationale to use us as scapegoats for their own organizing agendas. We must choose battles that can be won. This is the ultimate failing of Bush, et al. The American empire is going to be judged by these men who took a nation to war unnecessarily, everybody knows, lied enough to get their way, profited by warmaking and helped sink the nation. The people must demand justice. To the stocks with them all! Tony Blair, step up, tell the truth!

The iraq inquiry in britain has no proper legal powers. it cant force witnessess to attend. it cant force certain files to be released. it cant prosecute any one, it does not answer tough enough questions, it is a pr job designed to placate the angry public. however, some of the evidence coming to light hopefully will embolden some lawyer or organisation to take their own legal action and prosecute tony blair for war crimes/murder. he is as much a murderer as bush. for him to be a peace envoy to the middle east is a sick joke. both in the us and the uk we the people need to reclaim our democracy from the power of the multinational corporations and their mouthpieces in parliament. democracy is supposed to be by of and for the people.

I always thought that perhaps Bush would commit suicide when impact of what he's done sinks in. I guess not much can sink into concrete.
