The history of Jesuit led violence against Protestants in France has largely been buried for the sake of harmony -- some estimates have the death tolls at 60 million.
The history of Jesuit led genocide in Ireland has likewise been buried in a sea of wail over "abuses of the Irish." That death toll over 40 years amounts to over 200,000 dead Protestants, stopped only when the British Army stepped in.
If there is such a thing as a Northern Ireland peace process, which I consider a cruel joke, a persecution of the minority, then it will only resolve when the Vatican decides to call off the dogs -- an unlikely scenario considering the success of world wide growth of the church facilitated by this fanatical branch.

I know a president can't pull jobs out of his hat, but the failure of this president to even entertain, let alone create a jobs bill, to put people back to work will go down historically as the biggest failure of his administration.
Dr. Mitchell, thank you for reading the article.

I apologize for my error regarding Adams' as "president." This has been amended in cross-postings earlier I will see to it that it is done on this as well.

As for your other remarks: those aren't factual errors, but differences of perspective. The GFA indeed played a role in the cease fire, although it wasn't the only accord that did so.

Secondly, as for whether Adams would be prosecuted - and extradited as it were - or not is a matter of conjecture. There remains the possibility that he might be. And given the history of Loyalist/UK meddling in Northern "law enforcement", I wouldn't put it past the state to attempt something so disastrous.

Thirdly, US DA Ortiz cited Price's interview to a tabloid as grounds to go after her interview, which is at best controversial in and of itself, as interviews were not to be released with written consent or until the person's death. Price passed away in 2013, so that may or may not be a moot point. I chose to focus on some of the larger issues at play in this story, however, and I stand by them.

As for your cheap shot at McIntyre, I would like to point out that the parts of the interview that I used I back up with facts. I also made a point of including his history for the sake of transparency. It is true that the PSNI and RUC are showing a troubling uptick with their "fire and rehire" tactics.

Thanks.

First, there are several factual errors in this story. Gerry Adams isn't president of Ireland--he never even came close in the most recent election. Second, the GFA did not open a new period of relations between Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom for the simple reason that the United Kingdom is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to use its full name. The GFA opened a new period of relations between the Republic of Ireland and the UK. Third, Anthony McIntyre is hardly an unbiased source when it comes to the PSNI or the RUC. McIntyre was in fact opposed to the GFA. Fourth, because of the amnesty proclaimed as part of the GFA at best a prosecution of Adams would amount to a finding of guilty and no charge. More likely it would just be used to embarrass Adams who has pretended for decades that he was never in the IRA, let alone a senior figure within the organization. As Delours Price is now dead the release of her testimony in no way violates the conditions when she gave it. Fifth, if the GFA cannot withstand the revelation of some truth about Adams than it is probably too fragile to last in any case. I don't believe that to be the case and neither does the British government or they would not be pursuing the matter.

Blake, having to buy healthcare is not the sames as buying car insurance when you say why not when all drivers have to pay it? The simple facts is, Not even HALF of all Americans even drive! So do they have to now pay car insurance because they don't drive? Just wait stupid, wait until some corporation comes along wanting to get rich and pays off enough money to bribe politicians to put a chip in you;re ass to track you to make them rich saying its better we know what everyone is doing saying for the good of the country. Or stick microphones or cameras in you're bedroom and through out the house. You idiots have NO CLUE as to what you just opened up! But you can mark my words, in 10 years from now you morons will be crying about it just as you are now about Bush and the Patriot Act. But at the time when 911 truth movement was going on, 2011-2008, not a damn liberal hardly to be found against Bush! Not until Obama came into the picture you idiots said nothing about it! Because it was not part of you're gimme gimme free free free progressive agendas! Fact is liberals are the dumbest people to walk the face of the planet and ALWAYS cry about everything that does not go their way. Its pathetic!
