Fight Back Against the Health Insurance Industry’s Lies

What does UnitedHealthcare CEO Stephen Hemsley have to lose if Congress passes real healthcare reform this year? Well, for starters, his nearly three quarters of a billion dollars in unexercised stock options might lose a few pennies on the dollar.

What does Isabella, a four year-old girl in Winsconsin who is physically incapable of eating and has had to be tube fed her entire life, have to gain from healthcare reform? The treatment she needs to live a normal life.

It is our country’s greatest shame that we do not care for our sick and injured as if they were ourselves. We are supposed to be the wealthiest and greatest nation on earth. Why is it that the people who proclaim that the loudest are the ones who are fighting the passage of healthcare reform the hardest? Hmmmm?

Let us together fight the big corporation. They have been sucking the blood out of every American for a long time. It’s time we need the American government to provide health care for the American. Stop the fat cat.

HAVE A GREAT CASE AGAINST A BIG CORP. THEY ARE CUTTING ME AND MY FAMILY OFF INS FROM A ACCIDENT THAT WAS DONE TO ME. I CAN BE A GREAT POSTER BOY FOR THE FIGHT ! SOMEONE CONTACT ME SOON.

We already have emergency health care mandates, medicare, medicare and each state provides additional measures. What this bill will do is get a lot of people fired, a lot of companies to stop providing certain services and reduce health care quality overall. It will be like the Yacht tax where everyone was clamoring about in the 70’s “oh we are going to tax the rich. oh boy” well the Hilton’s and Gate’s of the world simply stopped buying boats. And who was hurt- the $30,000/ year employee from us payroll people to the janitors. Look at California restaurants, already tacking heath insurance cost on to the food- What has happened, people stopped leaving tips that’s what.

I’d agree, what does United Healthcare CEO Stephen Hemsley have to lose? I completely missed that episode in which only United Healthcare provides insurance in the states.

I’d only agree that those practices, by his company, are questionable and deserve further scrutiny by the proper authorities. But to imply, that simply because of United Healthcares malfeasence, all insurance agencies are to blame for the atrocious nature of denying coverage to those in need goes beyond what would necessarily be required to investigate such corrupt activities (and the other agencies listed in your video).

And, in reality, the provision that would’ve provided these people (Isabella in particular) the necessary insurance needed to cover those costs was left out of the final bill:

Besides, the Democrats are already threatening those companies that claim this new legislation will negatively affect them and their business:

What else could you possibly want to further your endeavors to provide to the people healthcare at no cost to them, higher taxes?

And in no way does this legislation address the real issue of why people are unable to attain health insurance and retain it:

Nice try, but I can think for myself as to what measures need to be taken in order for people to gain health insurance at truly free market costs.
