Let's not blame the inanimate objects again and again. As far as armed robberies, especially in big cities, the "availability of guns" applies to criminals because the honest law abiding citizens are usually not allowed to carry a gun to defend themselves in a metro area (Boston, NY, DC, etc). We continue to make gun laws but they only effect citizens who obey the law. Criminals do not obey the law nor do they have to. They do not have to pass a Brady background check, they just steal a gun.
