"Although most of the Economic Elite live and operate inside the US, they are not concerned for our future. To them, the entire world is theirs and they work intimately with other elites throughout the world against the interests of the US public."

There are no moral or rational principles that give particular weight to the people of the United States. Neither the moralist nor the economist can argue soundly that there is some reason to prefer the interests of your illusory "US public". Since the topics you are discussing are essentially of the ethical and the economical variety, you should probably keep this in mind. Don't be so blindly biased! Economic considerations should take account of the interests of all people in the world, not just those in the US, and obviously, so should moral considerations.
