   I&#039;ve portrayed Thomas Jefferson professionally for 20 years, to convention audiences from Maine to Hawaii. I know Mr. Jefferson! Swanson&#039;s claim shows a great (though politically correct) lack of understanding about Thomas Jefferson and slaveholding.
