I’m curious about the numerous redactions — pages 4 & 5 missing in their entirety, for instance — many of which are difficult to detect, since they aren’t the standard sort of very obvious blackout redactions but instead are whiteout redactions which in many cases are easy to miss.

Maybe they’re hoping we’ll become so inured to the CIA’s intransigent insistence on withholding information — which CIA is actually not entitled to withhold — that we’ll just take whatever we can get once they finally relent on a few crumbs?

Who writes a report like this to support the policies of those at the top? Who are the engineers, architects, lawyers, doctors, psychologists, government, corporate and academic researchers that developed these techniques and facilities in support of these aberations?
How many white collar, well educated individuals with families in well paid jobs, with health insurance, retirement benefits, a vacation home, cars, boats, atv’s, college educations for their children, looked the other way, stayed silent, or actively participated, in the name of a regular secure paycheck?

Prosecute, disbar, revoke licenses, discontinue research funding, fire….

Jason, thank you. Never stop doing what you do.

Had anyone read The Dark Side, by Jane Mayer, prior to this report’s release (redacted as the report was), they would have already been more than aware of most of what is being reported in the media.

The details Jason reveals are not being covered, and are so very appreciated.

Now if only the collective mentality of the Obama Administration and this country were more productive and determined to follow the rule of law instead of their obsession with “not looking back” and “only looking forward.”

Psst! All crimes have already occurred. That means all crimes have been committed in the past. One cannot investigate future crimes.

If we were to follow that logic, we’d never prosecute any crime. Murder? Pfft. Happened yesterday, leave it alone.

The horror of these written pictures must strike a cord of outrage to anyone with a heart. These men were not found guilty, given a trial or council. No one will ever have mercy on our soldiers. What will be the defense from harsh torture. How can we convict anyone ever again doing this to our military? The abuse and torture will haunt America for a very long time. Bring these detainees to trial now or release them. Stand firm in convicting those who wrote, approved,ordered and carried out this nightmare. It did not make us safer then and it doesn’t make us safer now.
