14 years ago I was 13 years old I am now 27; At this facility I was put in the padded room for 93 days with nothing but a blue paper gown, A cold floor, no matt to lay on, No pillow, simply put: I was tortured at this facility. I was placed in a straight jacket multiple times; One time for 27 hours- I was also stripped naked several times they took my blue paper gown off and placed me on a cold steel restraint table with 4 leather cuffs that bound my ankles and hands, with a leather strap that bound my waist_ I was injected on this table MANY times with medications that to this day I have no idea what they were however they made me go in and out of consiousness and I KNOW have seriously screwed up my brain.. I personnaly hold these people accountable for continual torture to me throughout my life, right now, I continualy suffer from daily flashbacks of this place, and I suffer from nightmares of this place while I sleep. I declare that this hospital and many others like it are guilty of torture and TREASON to the highest extent of the law to: "children"> and guilty of inflicting severe mental torment that has lasted and haunted me all these years later. I demand action and I demand that those responsible be held acountable for deystroying My chance at leading a happy full life. I SUFFER DAILY BECAUSE OF THIS F***ING HELL THAT HAS BEEN INFLICTED UPON ME BY THIS "hospital" Charter Northbrooke EAP Boys unit"4600 W Schroeder Drive Brown Deer Wisconsin, The State Of Michigan Family Independence agency; And the Hiawatha Behavioral Health agency

P.S. My Mom and My Brother Have also committed suicide, My Brother Died May 28th 1999 at the age of 25; and My mom died On March 7th 2008 at the age of 55;. I found both of them "dead" purple, Not breathing. This world sure does seem to me to be a cruel one. And The truth rarely reaches the eyes of the general public. Where was and where is the justice for my family?

articredriver: Traditional Polygraphs are themselves totally unreliable, and are further tainted by biases of their operators. Also, thank you for your dedication. Would that even a sliver of the population cared a damn.
The whole of the torture policy was to cover Bush's crimes. Confessions to everything from 9-11 on down were necessary, as justifications for Bush doubling the deficit and pouring it into the pockets of his friends, regardless of who was murdered along the way. Ultimately, if we can someday get a President who isn't covering up his predecessor's crimes, we will finally have a public opinion that knows Bush & Co. murdered thousands in NYC, Afghanistan, Iraq and throughout the middle east.
Perhaps then we can stop the slide into a police state.a

Thanks, arcticredriver, for your dedication to the Guantanamo stories. I now recall Fouad talking about the polygraphs, but the information about Col. Taylor is new to me — and important not only because of what it reveals about what you call an additional “psychological ploy — to further frighten subjects they thought were lying,” but also because of your discovery of Taylor’s lack of qualifications and his role as another willing but unqualified volunteer in a mission that had nothing to do with justice and truth, and was, instead, a mission staffed by underqualified or unqualified personnel fulfilling the requirements of a fixed ideology.

The interview with Lt. Col. Stephen Abraham that arcticredriver refers to is here (in two parts):

WRT Fouad's mental health. Colonel Bruce Vargo, head of the guard force, which I guess would make him third in command at the camp, claimed, just last week, that no one had been driven mad by their treatement at the camp.

Fouad Al Rabia and Abdullah Kamel Al Kandari CSRT dossiers were among the first I read back when the Associated Press first published them after winning their fight to acquire them through FOIA requests back in 2005.

I too was struck by the credibility of his account. I was struck by a two pages of emails included in his CSRT dossier, from a Colonel David Taylor. Taylor's memos to interrogators concerned their use of "Computerized Voice Stress Analysis". CVSA is a form of lie detection -- but not a reliable form -- much less reliable than a traditional polygraph.

In Fouad's testimony he described to the officers that this new, secret lie detection technique had been used on him, after traditional polygraph's showed he was telling the truth.

Taylor's memos make clear that interrogators knew the CVSA technique was unreliable. They used it as a psychological ploy -- to further frighten subjects they thought were lying. Taylor told interrogators they could continue to use the technique -- informally. But they should then destroy the paperwork, because the subject's could call for the results if they ended up facing charges.

I did a google search on Colonel David Taylor after reading this memo. I found a Colonel David Taylor who had been a USAF personnel officer.

This is just as Stephen Abraham told Andy in his interview -- Guantanamo was staffed by amateurs. Here we have the officer in charge of maintaining the intelligence files -- and he is not an intelligence officer, he is a personnel officer.

A year or so after reading Fouad's file I read a brief memo for the DIA, where they highlighted the successes of the Guantanamo interrogation efforts. Although they didn't mention him by name Fouad confessions took up about ten percent of the memo, and they were described in very alarmist, most alarming terms.

Gut-wrenching. What really gets me is, the US leadership knew we were detaining and torturing innocents, and then went ahead anyway. But why should that get to me, when the whole enterprise was conducted by a regime that stole the insignia of office to begin with?

In that light, it's the continuation by Obama of Bush policies, playing from the same infernal playbook of "full-spectrum dominance," that really stops me cold. Is Obama even in command of the NSA, DOD, etc.? After all, they could assassinate him, but not he, them, right?

"Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!"
Sir Walter Scott (1771 - 1832)

"I never would have agreed to the formulation of the Central Intelligence Agency back in forty-seven, if I had known it would become the American Gestapo."
Pres. Harry S Truman (1884-1972), evidently not a student of Scott.
