They won't be allowed to apply for Palaun citizenship. Only those born in Palau are allowed to become citizens. If I were a Uyghur captive I would decline transfer to Palau as well. 2,000 foreign guest workers are employed at Guantanamo. They cook the food, and do the groundswork. They even fight the fires. For those captives who have been cleared for release, or have been cleared of being viewed as a threat, I think President Obama should offer them a job. I think gainful employment, at American wages, would go some way in helping the innocent captives to forgive the USA for kidnapping them.
